1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using The Game mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Game is a golf scoring, statistics, and social application that allows users to:

  • Track golf scores and statistics
  • Create and join golf groups and clubs
  • View leaderboards and player rankings
  • Play side games (Banker, 9-Point, etc.) with friends
  • View prop-style odds for entertainment purposes
  • Generate AI-powered round recaps

3. Entertainment-Only Wagering

The App includes features that track money games and display odds. These features are for entertainment and scorekeeping purposes only. The App does not:

  • Process, hold, or transfer real money or currency
  • Facilitate actual gambling or wagering transactions
  • Act as a payment processor or financial intermediary
  • Guarantee or enforce payment of any kind

Any financial settlements between users are conducted entirely outside the App and are solely between the parties involved. The App merely provides a scorekeeping tool to track friendly games, similar to a physical scorecard.

4. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account
  • One account per person; do not share account credentials

5. User-Generated Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create (scores, photos, group names)
  • By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the App for its intended purpose
  • You must not post content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on others' rights
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
  • Manipulate scores, statistics, or rankings
  • Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App

7. Groups and Clubs

  • Group creators and administrators are responsible for managing their groups
  • Club-level features may require administrator approval
  • We reserve the right to remove groups that violate these Terms

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal profile information will be removed
  • Your historical game data may be anonymized and retained for statistical integrity
  • Active group memberships will be terminated

9. Intellectual Property

  • The App, its design, features, and content are owned by The Game and protected by applicable intellectual property laws
  • "The Game" name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content without permission

10. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content (recaps, odds)
  • Odds displayed are Monte Carlo simulations for entertainment only and do not represent actual betting lines
  • We are not responsible for any financial arrangements between users
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Game shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Game from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
